 Okay for little kids' costumes, NOT adults December 24, 2008
Just got this in. It's about 12-18" in diameter--wouldn't have ordered if it had that size listed on page. Oh well. Maybe a 6-year old kid this would be a perfect costume addon or if they were a Captain America fan (how likely though,right?), but its small size makes it not as good for giving as a novelty item to an adult. Don't get me wrong--looks great, and all, but definitely smaller than expected.

We had no sooner got this out of the box and the red skull showed up with Baron Zemo and tried to blow up the world or something and we stopped in their tracks. The Shield is a little small and flimsy and doesn't throw wall...probably some technique to it that I lost while frozen in the arctic wastes...but yesterday Modok sat on it and it's fine so i HIGHLY recommend this as a low cost shield option.
